STBGFC Family,
We will be trying something a little different this year that we hope will make our club season more exciting! In conjunction with our regular STBGFC tournaments, each club weekend we will also have what we are calling 3 Flag Brown Bag Tournaments.
We will try and keep them as simple as possible as simple = fun.
Rules:
This is a boat tournament (most club points per boat).
$300 entry per 3 Flag Brown Bag Tournament.
The money (cash please) must be placed in an envelope, labeled with your boat’s name and dropped into the Breakaway drop box at the Sea Ranch by 8am the first day of each tournament (two day tournaments equal one 3 Flag Tournament). For example, if the tournament starts on Saturday, the money must be in by 8am Saturday morning.
Tagged and released sails, whites and blues only (no dead fish).
Most club points for these 3 fish wins (must be officially recorded as club points, all club rules apply).
Payout:
100% of the money will be paid to the winner of each tournament.
Any ties we will split and pay each winner.
If no fish are caught the money will roll to the next 3 Flag Tournament.
Any money left over at the end of the season will be donated to the maintenance of our local FADs.
Eligibility:
For your boat to be eligible to enter these tournaments, you must pay a one-time (per season) $500 boat entry fee.
That fee will get you 4 club memberships, 4 t-shirts, 4 hats, 4 cups and the right to participate in all of the 3 Flag Brown Bag Tournaments.
Important:
These 3 Flag Brown Bag Tournaments will coincide with our normal club tournaments. You do not have to be entered in them to accumulate normal club points. If you do not want to participate in these tournaments, the standard club registration fees apply (nothing has changed for our normal club tournaments). Remember, for your boat to obtain points for both the club and the 3 Flag Tournaments, your fish must be caught by a club member. You can send your $500 fee to our normal Club PO Box (make sure you denote the boat it is for) or pay at our Memorial Day kickoff party. Just FYI, we should have the ability to take credit cards this year at our Memorial Day kickoff party!
